need to convert from 50fps to 25fps

ok... I am at wits end....camera should have been set at 25pn @ 50fps but instead footage was shot at 25p (50fps). we need to have it in slo mo in FCP but it only plays back at 50fps so it is looking normal speed....what can I do to have it play in slo mo. we tried the frame rate converter....no dice.....we tried cinema tools but I can't bring it back into FCP.
any ideas?

If you imported with the duplicate frames dicarded you are out of luck. If you still have the original 50fps footy you can still slow it down with decent results. I tried a few different mpeg streamclip export options and still got nothin'. Good Luck.
