Need an experienced sound mixer with gear for this coming September 28-30. Must work as a local. Please email me at bfbeaudry@comcast.net, or kelli@beaudryfilmworks.com
I'm on location all day today so try kelli first.
I'm the audio supervisor and can tell you its a fun challenging show around college football. The rate is respectable but not enough for some of the mixers we've offered it to and that's why the short notice.

Thanks,
Bernie

If the rate you're offering isn't enough to attract the mixers you want, perhaps you should consider increasing your offer. A project's budget is not the amount you would like to spend, it's the projected cost of obtaining the needed deliverable at the required level of quality. Bottom up cost estimates, not top down revenue allocations.

Thanks for your helpful (not so much) advice Steve. We get very little notice as to where the show is going week to week, and the rates vary a fair amount across the country. Yes, as a working location sound guy I understand it would be great to budget top rate for labor and gear. The budget unfortunately wasn't fixed by us but by the company that is paying us to produce the shows. It also isn't right for someone to say they'll do the gig and then reconsider at the last minute leaving us without a sound person. Travel day is tomorrow and we don't have a sound person and that isn't a stress I'd put on anyone.
