For some reason I'm getting these interlaced frames. I'm using Premiere Pro 1.5 to edit. It does that to every 1/4 frames on the timeline  I can't figure out why its doing that...
does anyone know whats causing that?
I apreciate any help :)

Re: need some help...

..are you editing in a 24p timeline with 24pa footage?..

if you are, then what it does is detect the pulldown cadance from the first take/scene, and it continues that pulldown for the rest of the file.. so it can get way wacky if the cadace changes(which it does often between cuts).. plenty of people have requested that adobe make it a little more versetile, to detect cadance changes.. but you should request it to from the adobe web site . :)

so what i do is use scene detection, which automatically makes each cut its own seperate file.. and they will all pull down beautifully. and you can also trash all the bad cuts that you dont use to save drive space instead of keeping the big huge file from a tape that only about 5% is being used anyway.

so ..just use scene detection , and it will import all the cuts as seperate files.. you can save them all in their own little folder, and it imports them all into the project after capturing. it will name them sequentially after whatever name you give it.. or you can tell it to name them in any format sequentially that you choose. .. i never used to use it, but now that i have.. its really nice, and i dont know why i didnt always do it.. so much wasted drive space!!
