Need some help...

I watch alot of videos online and most look very good (quality wise) but problem is when I try to upload mine, they look pixelated and choppy. I have taken several youtube tutorials from people to get better quality video on the web...but they still come out looking like crap. I'm editing on Vegas...can anyone help??

to view what I'm talking about, check out our trailer at: www.palmettothetvseries.com

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

HEy,

What program are you usin.g?

Man, if you are on Final Cut, just use H.264 compression. It should be fine, set the quality to high also...

I have FCP, so I don't know anything about Vegas, but whatever program you're using to export, click on the options tab and compress as the H.264 and change the quality option to high (keep in mind that this will make the file larger though).

A trick I use is exporting in Realtime, and it seems to come out looking nice everytime. Only problem is exporting in realtime can be a hassle, especially if you have credits and such. Dunno why it's such a pain.

I'm using Vegas 7 and I have rendered it every which way from mpeg2, 1,4, mov, avi, wmv etc etc.

I do not know what the H.264 setting is you're talking about? Probably could be due to Vegas not having it?? I'm not sure. This series launches in 4 days and right now...im screwed...lol
