Need some help with color correcting

Hey everyone , im looking to get a better look out of my footage to make it look more like a film , I want to get a look like this :

Im editing in final cut express & I want to know how I can get this look

There are adjustments that need to be made according to your specific image. Color correction first, then a little bit of playing with curves. There is a whole bunch of stuff you need to do in order to get that image.

No one here can tell you exactly what settings to use without seeing the source image.
 


It made the image bigger but I wouldn't say it improved the res that much because its a grabbed frame from actual video.
 
hmm, you are having problems then with export thehn because a dvx is capable of much better quality.

it should be 720x480
