Need slow mo question help quick!!!!

We are shooting some major scene for a music video tomorrow that includes numerous slow mo shots. I would love to be able and shoot in 24P, but I've never had any luck slowing it down in FCP (too jerky). Someone suggested Twixtor, but if I get this program will I be able to shoot in 24P mode or should I switch to 60i?? Can anyone help me that has used Twixtor or other programs to accomplish this?

And which setting (F-stop) on the DVX-100 is best for slow motion?

All and any help is greatly appreciated. If anyone can send me to some sites to view some example clips that would also be great!

f-stop is irrelevant for slow motion. Use whatever f-stop will give you proper exposure; different f-stops won't affect the motion.

What you want to do is capture as many motion samples as possible.  The worst slow-mo on the DVX comes from shooting in 24P mode, because that captures the fewest motion samples.  The best slow-mo comes from shooting 60i, but you do pay a price in overall image sharpness; 60i slowed-down footage will be noticeably softer than full-speed 24p footage.

For the best slow-mo, shoot in 60i at a shutter of 1/120.  As for how to get it to look great in FCP, I'll leave that to some FCP experts, but in Vegas you can just drop it on the timeline and play it back at 40% speed, and it'll give nice wonderfully smooth slow mo.
