Need settings to print quality stills from freeze frames

I have a shoot on Thursday and the client has requested making still photos for the purposes of a brochure, he said no larger than 3"x3". Anyone have an idea as to what settings would lend themselves to making the best stills?

Thanks,

definetly 1920 x 1080 to be able to get 300 dpi crops. As a photographer I would suggest Lightroom for cleaning up your stills as well. ive pulled stills from the 200a and they needed a little kick to achieve 'photo quality'.

One more thing to ponder - if you shoot in DVCPro-HD and use 1080P, you're actually only capturing 1280x1080... so to get the best quality still you need to shoot in AVC-Intra 1080P, either 30P or 24P. If you shoot 1080-60i then you should use the Photoshop filter Video/De-Interlace and click on "Interpolation" to remove the interlace. That works great for stills (no need if you shoot progressive)

Also, depending on the nature of the footage, remember that standard 180 degree shutters for film/video are going to be slow compared to what photographers shoot, and therefore have motion blur and loose definition.
