Hi guys my friend lend me his hmc150 for week i am not camera guy i just know what i read here shooting s spec commercial in forest alone just a project. My question is for cloudy or sunny day what is the best seating on the camera exposure aperture and so on. I did a test of a teddy bear and the front of the bear look to exposed. My footage looks to amateurish i have mac pro fcp 7 and my mac can handle 1080p easy should i even shoot 1080p or 720p? Should i use somthing to block to much light to my character is yes what do you guys use?. What would yiu do if you only have the camera?

thanks

It is impossible for us to say what F stop you should go with. It's like if I would ask you "what jacket should I wear tomorrow to not freeze?". It depends if it's sunny or cloudy. Adjust the aperture so that the image isn't over exposed by using the zebra function.
720p is enough most of the time, especially if you're going to export it to SD.

I think the best thing you can do is to read more about how you set a proper exposure, and some other basic things.
