first things first...the gig is not paid but we will pay for your transportation, lodging and food...if still interested read on
2nd...the gig is in ghana...this month (july 26 - aug 7th)...we're documenting two things...(1) one woman's journey to ghana after using dna to trace her ancestry to the akan people (2) a series of events (ceremony for the Ashante king, visit to Cape Coast slave castle, a concert with musicians from across the African Diaspora (US, London, Trinidad, Nigeria & Ghana), visit to the rain forest, etc) for The Joseph Project, an initiative by the government of Ghana to welcome home millions of Africans of the Diaspora
Looking for 2 individuals:
(1) a digital techie that knows the p2 workflow, knows about raid 0,1,etc storage, can organize and dump cards that we will be shooting in the field and essentially be a technical resource for us (if that person has an HVX and can help shoot any broll even better but I really want someone that knows the workflow and can guide us)
(2) an HVX shooter w/ camera, p2 cards, and experience shooting w/ the p2 cards (documentary and concert shooting experience a plus!)
...because of the time issue, we will need someone that already has a passport and we'll work on getting a visa for ghana for you...
...once again, I wish I could pay you but it's a project that is really historical (hence my desire to capture it in HD) and i'm excited about it...i consider this site a great resource (i come here when i had questions about the dvx100) so hopefully someone reading this will be available or can pass this info on to someone that might be interested.... please feel free to email me at ralston_s@hotmail.com. Looking to make a decision asap.
peace,
