Need helppppp! Pleaseeeeee

Hello everybody,im having trouble with my HPX-172.I live in asia so the model we have here is the 172,but i guess its just the same as hpx170.So here goes.

1.Im having trouble shooting 720p/25pn with audio.I cant get audio,i tried all sorts of things,changing the frame rate to 24 frames.Still no audio,and when i change the recording format to 720p/25p,i can get audio,but when in playback,it states that its 720p/50p.

2. Can i edit using Final cut pro if i shoot in the formats above.

Im very very confused,sorry to bore u with this kind of question,im a newbie and hope to learn from all of you experienced filmmakers.Please help.
 
Hi Santos, welcome to DVXUSER.

1) on 25PN, you have the ability to undercrank or overcrank the frame rate. It sounds like you have set the camera to do just that. When shooting at anything but the DEFAULT framerate, no audio is recorded. MAKE SURE YOUR SCENEFILE'S FRAMERATE IS SET TO RECORD DEFAULT.

2) depends on your FCP system, as long as it is FCP 5 or above, you should not have any problem editing in any format the HPX 170(2) shoots.
