Need help

I recently shot a short film with dvx100b with the 24p Advanced setting. We captured the footage into fcp with the same setting and the footage looks great when we are editing it. However, when the footage is exported into .mov file or view it as external video, there are certain parts in which a corner or a part of the frame is, how can I put it, "shaking" as if either the camera is trying to focus or the aperture is adjusting.
But this doesn't happen to all the footage. Nor does it happen in the same shot. Sometimes those "shaking" parts would happen for a second or two within the same shot for some reasons.

There was an accident :( on one of the days of our shoot that the camera fell from a platform that is not higher than a stool and it broke the plastic piece on the handle on top of the camera. Other than that there was barely a scratch.

So I am wondering if anyone can help and tell us why this is happening to our footage (which only happens in two sequences) and if it has anything to do with the accident, like an internal impairment of the camera (I really really hope not)? And where will it be a good place for us to put the camera in for a check-up?

I am new to this forum so forgive my long-winded post.

Thank you very much!

Just to begin the diagnosis, was your OIS (object image stabilization) on while shooting from the tripod? I don't believe this to be the case from your description, but you have to consider every option.

Another thing to check, is what you are seeing similar to what is described and shown in this thread? http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=146996
Make sure to check out the video of the problem described in his thread to see if it is the same as yours. Keep an eye on the window in the upper right of his video. Is this the same problem as yours?

It is hard to tell what you mean without seeing footage. Can you post some?

Thank you for your response. I have checked out the problem mentioned in the other thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=146996
and yes it is exactly the same problem we are having.

I have to check with my partner and see if my OIS was on while shooting but I wouldn't think so.

Unfortunately I can't post some footage at the moment but it pretty much looks exactly like the footage shown in that thread.

Any ideas how this might have happened and ways to fix it in post?

Again, thank you so much!

Im sorry but I dont know if the people in that other thread ever found a reason or solution to the problem. I would say to just keep an eye on that thread.
