Need Help With Pan. 17" Monitor Set-Up

I'm an experienced shooter but am new to the HVX and the Panasonic BT-LH1700W monitor. I know how to set up a CRT monitor with the "blue only" method but I have questions about the setting of other variables on the 17" Panasonic.

What color temp should it be set to? D65, the default? If I'm using cinelike V gamma on the HVx, should I use the "Varicam" Film Gamma setting on the monitor, or should the gamma be set to "other"? Should the noise wipe be on or off? Should the sharpness be on high or low?

I'm most worried about my shadow detail being accurate as I'll probably push the darkness on an upcoming shoot. I need to be sure that what I see is what I get.

Thanks for the help.

Make sure that you have a proper hood for the monitor. Do NOT use the Varicam Film gamma setting, since that doesn't relate in any way to HVX. Noise wipe off, always - I don't like what that setting does. Test sharpness - as long as you're not using the monitor to check for noise, it's fine either way. D65 col temp and good luck!
