I am shoot with 1 other videographer. I have a Panasonic HMC-150 and two canon T2is at my disposal and 2 videographers. I am going to set up the HMC in the back, and have both the T2is up close for close ups and things of that nature.

What i'd love is if anybody has any sort of shot list for shows they've shot, it'd be really helpful. Thank you so much.

Hey Ryan,

I've done the same kind of shoot you're doing a few times with the same hardware (1 hmc150 and 1 t2i).

You can see one of the shoots here:

I haven't used a shot list because I pretty much continuously recorded with the 150 for the wide and handheld the t2i (50mm). Then in Final Cut you can choose your angles and edit so you just cut away from the t2i anytime you were relocating or the framing was off. In fact since you have two t2is you should be able to get really good coverage with a center wide shot and 3/4 angle handheld on either side of the stage, no? I know you were looking for a shot list, but hope that helps.

Always make sure that you have a master cover shot from the back camera. Resist the temptation to zoom in. We have done many stage shows over the years and the back camera needs to have a cover shot from the beginning to the end. In fact, it can be a lockdown shot. Another camera can be placed right next to the lockdown and used to get those must get moments from the back. A cover shot from the back can make editing much easier. Also get an audio feed from the house console to one channel on the master cover camera. Set the audio input to line level and use a transformer isolator such as the Rapco hum bucker to isolate the grounds between the two pieces of gear.
