Need help with Clip browser 2.0

Right when I will go into the Browser and select the clip, right click , export to - Raw DV

screen pops up

A clip that cannot be exported is included. A parameter that isn't supported is specified, or Mark Out is set before Mark In.

Are you using your camera as the reader or did you copy the files to your hard drive?

You may be trying to convert the file back to the SxS memory card and that is why is giving you that error. Make sure you are exporting it to your hard drive.

That error occurs with 24p footage, as it's not supported by the DV format. I have a number of clips that cannot be converted for this reason.

On the clips it CAN export, it does a poor job handling the reinterlacing, causing 'walking scanline' effects when a vertical pan is happening and there are horizontal edges in the scene.

Thanx basspig you were right! If I film in 24p how would I export them to Raw DV? I was able to export the 24p footage to MXF for NLEs, and compress in visualhub to DV. There has to be a better way though.

You could do a 2:3 pullup to 60i in an NLE like Adobe Premiere CS3. Other NLEs may have similar features. It also does a better job. The Clip Browser 2.0 software has problems with interlacing DV footage on export--it doubles scan lines every few frames and creates a distracting "walking scanline" effect that is most noticed when vertical pans and horizontal edges are involved.
