need help...tape recorded on different camera not playing back on DVX

Hey all, not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but I did a multi-camera shoot recently using a DVX-100B and a Canon HV30, and the tape that I used in the Canon HV30 isn't playing back on the DVX (it's shot on HDV 60i i believe). I'm now in process of capturing the footage and the tape from the HV30 shows up as blank on the Pansonic. (The HV30 wasn't mine, so I can't capture with it).

Why do you think that you should be able to play an HDV tape in a DV camera?

my bad i suppose. i guess i had faulty logic that same kind of tape = same usability.

No DV camera can play back any HDV tape. You'd need access to a Canon or Sony HDV camera to playback or digitize that tape.
