Need help setting shutter

I read on a previous post that you can set the shutter speed to 1/48. Mine goes straight from 1/24 to 1/60. Also I don't mean to sound stupid but what is the knee and where do I find it hopefully it is near the detail croning becasue I can find that either. Thanks for any help

shutter off = 1/48

that's the standard, anyway.

both knee and coring are under the scene file settings when you press menu when in record mode.

I have a dx 100. Can someone walk me through this really slow-step-by-step. I tried to find the knee and croning still no go

If you have an original DVX100, there is no menu setting for knee or coring. Those were added to the DVX100A.

Is there anything I can do to compensate? What is the knee anyway? Can i still get the film look without them?
