NEED help with outputting an edit that was shot 1080P with 5DMKII but the final edit is 1hr30min in length. How can I down-convert this (using compressor), while maintaining quality and burn to DVD. Thanks a million for any assistance.

Which codec did you use to edit?

Export a Quicktime movie, self-contained, at current project settings. Quit FCP, launch Compressor, and find the preset here: Apple>DVD>DVD: Best Quality 90 Minutes. Though, if your project is really pushing 90 minutes, or over it at all, you might need to use the 120 minutes preset. Select both audio and video options.

I used XDCAM EX 1080p30 (35mb/s VBR). Do you think the file will compress enough to fit on a regular DVD? Thanks

Since you used XDCAM EX to edit with I'd export a ProRes movie. It will be faster and save you an unnecessary amount of compression (in the future I'd also recommend transcoding to ProRes and not a more compressed codec like XDCAM EX). Once you use one of the Compressor presets mentioned it will convert the footage into DVD-compatible MPEG-2 that will fit on a DVD.
