Hey guys!! how are you? Hoping I'm in the right section. Does anyone know how I can remove the internal cable on this pole so I can fix the internal cable. Its gotten all messed up and to much of it is hanging out. I would love to reposition the cable. Is it possible with this pole and if so how do I do it.

Thanks

Nicole

The connector at the bottom of the pole unscrews, which should give you access to the cable. The connector at the top will need to be removed in order to pull the cable out.

That's the thing I don't see how you could possibly unscrew it. It seems like its soldered/molded together. Maybe I need to turn harder or something. I'm not sure.

I have the 110. In a meeting right now, but I'll be able to run up the hill and look at it this morning. I do know that it unscrews, as I have done this. Will get back to you unless some one else jumps in...

Ok that would be really appreciated. I will await your post or other responses.

Thanks
Nicole

p.s. I have the pole with the XLR at the bottom not side.

IIRC- you can insert an XLR plug into the base & twist to unscrew... There might be a set-screw, but I don't think so.

I freaking love you John!! That worked. Its your boom pole I bought from you awhile back. I was just about to send you a PM. That did un loosen it.

Thanks
Nicole

I remember opening it up to clean the locks... That is one thing I don't like about K-Tek poles- the cable seems to get twisted easily. I'm using the carbon one now, and I have to remember not to spin the head of the pole.
