Hi guys.

I have a Intel Core 2 Duo Laptop with windows XP Professional.
Have this adapter to insert P2 card to ExpressCard
I've managed to install drivers manually and get the PS Viewer runnig perfectly.
I can ingest and preview in full HD.

But: I can´t format the card after ingested. (gives an error)
Browsing the card with Explorer, I've noticed that all files are "write protected".
If I insert the same card in the camera and connect with usb, i can format or delete clips, but the same card direct on the adaptor, only copy, not delete or format.

I need to do ingest and format in the laptop, because I gotta record a continuos shot (3 hours) and need to do hot swap.

Is there something that I missed.. or Express adapators can´t handle writing at the card?

Sorry for my mistakes.. english is not my native language.

Thanks!!

First thing I would try is to restart your computer. The second thing I would try is reformat in camera then try to reformat from computer.

I've spend 2 hours doing this.. with 2 differents cards.. and always the same error.

1) Format in camera Ok
2) Take a shot Ok
3) Insert card in laptop and ingest Ok
4) Format in laptop with P2 Card Format station: An error ocurred while operating I/O on P2 card
5) Repeat steps 1 - 2 - 3
6) Format in laptop using P2Viewer: An error ocurred while operating I/O on P2 card
