I am gonna have a canon XHA1 for wide shot, and a 7d and 5d for coverage... here is the list of lenses i am renting, I am only gonna rent 4 of them...

24mm f/1.4L
50mm f/1.2L
70-200mm f/2.8L
16-35mm f/2.8L

I am thinking for the ceremony, I will have the two DSLRs getting angles of the bride and groom, so do you think it is wise to have two 70-200mm lenses or do you think the other lenses i listed is good enough?

Any help is much appreciated.

If you want to have similar over the shoulder shots then I would add an 85mm in there. If you aren't going to have two operators you could probably take the 24mm out as you could make do with the 16-35 and probably won't have two wide shots (or three with the a1) running at one time.

that's a sweet selection

the only lens there that's not absolutely awesome is the 16-35; I believe the tokina 16-28 is better, but I've never tried any of them (no point yet, I'm still on APS-C)

plus: make sure the 70-200 f/2.8L is the IS version (at those focal lenghts, it's either IS or tripod)

Why is the 16-35mm not awesome?

..because it doesnt resolve 5k too well and its a bit distorted

I have 16-55 70-200 and 50 1.4 myself on a live event
