i am really in need of some help here.
i have tried everything i know to do in order to get my footage into a smooth 29.97 sd form.
i shot on HVX (obviously) 720p/24pn
i am using FCP studio 1
once i was done with my edit i made an SD sequence in the same project
i laid the whole sequence into this new timeline and i got a nice letter boxed sd version of my edit.
then i needed to get my timeline to NTSC 29.97
so i made am animation Quick Time of my seq. reimported it to FCP
i made an SD 29.97 sequence dropped the re imported QT in and presto chango- i have a 29.97 SD down convert of my sequence.
it seems a little jumpy when i watch it back on a regular television.
(i am used to shooting with an F900 and doing a 3:2 pulldown out of the deck into an Avid. i have never felt like 24 fps footage looked jumpy in the end with that setup)
please tell me there is a better way to get this done.
when i tried to just export using quicktime i was not able to get the (preserve aspect ratio using letterbox) to work properly
i need help before i jump off a curb:badputer:
