Don't let anything stand in your way. Think of this as your one BIG mishap. Hopefully this means that you will NEVER lose data again due to a stupid computer error.

Just like in the movie "The World According To Garp". His house was "Pre"-smashed by that airplane, thereby making it totally safe to live in, because the chance of the same accident happening again was now 1 in a million.

not that this is any help. but i make weekly backups of all my premiere/after effects/xsi/maya files. at least then all you might have to do is recapture the footage should something horrible happen. just an idea. good luck on getting it back up again..

That reeks. I accidentally deleted a project to early one time. I am starting also to immediately back up finished work onto tape.

The problem is you have to delete and then click yes because the file is to big to fit in the trash can/Recycle bin, so it will "Permanately Delete" it. They are almost impossible to recover uncorrupted.

The guy who helps me with my computers winced when I told him what I did, and wished me condolences also. We tried to recover it, but only got parts of it, most was corrupted.
