EDIT: THE SHOOT HAS BEEN MOVED TO 3/25
Edit: Yes, my spelling really is that bad today. I have had an interesting couple of days.
This is kind of a long shot (and it's for a stupid movie, but one that's been two years in the making) but if anyone in Boston would be willing to put in half a day on Suday March 25th, I could pay them back in equipment rental: a few days with an Arri kit or a G35 and lenses (28mm f2.0, 35mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8)....or something. A day with an Arri kit is usually around $100, so this is a fine deal. A day with a Guerilla35 plus those lenses is...well, worth something, too. So it's not a bad deal, really.
It's five or six set ups in Cambridge (between Porter and Harvard square) for a silly short film starring my friends from high school (I'm now a junior in college), and it's VERY guerilla style filmmaking. But it should be fun, and I'll buy you lunch at Anna's Taqueria. Working with fellow students would be fun since I'm trying to do the whole "networking" thing. No need for experience beyond setting up and moving lights; I'm director and dp.....and basically everything else.
The job is simple: set up lights, move lights when I tell you to, and hold the boom mic. Nothing glamorous and it's simple shot/reverse shot, but I'll be working with some fun equipment and you can try your hand on the mystical adapter! Plus, I'll bring some home depot work lights used by the infamous Matt McDermitt...who never responded to my email about the forty bucks he still owes me. Now you interested?
Email: [redacted] (yes, really)
P.M. me for some kickass footage from scenes I've already shot.
Just check out how badass the storyboards are!:
