I posted this the other day for a short time, but I'd love your thoughts and feedback...

LIKE THIS
SYNOPSIS:
An introverted night nurse cares for a catatonic man in his last days of
life. Passing the time with stories and secrets, she finds her own will,
majesty and voice.

Music will be an original score within the next few weeks.

Thanks so much,

Jeff

Very nice, can't say I saw any thing bad. Great lighting good audio (sounds like you needed a wind screen for the voice over) and from the trailer I'll say good script.

My first thought was the voice-over was a child and I'm thinking "WHY". Then I see it's the nurse. Guess there's nothing you can do about that. LOOKS really good though.

EXCELLENT!!! Kudos my friend!!! At last something different and away from the Gansta-flicks (nothing wrong with ganstaflicks and kill'em-all movies but hey we have plenty of them already). Lighting was great, voice was good I didn't think was a child, just a cute girlie voice. The trailer brings a point without blowing in the whole topic, good!!!

After I watched the trailer I found myself looking through your website for more information. That's when I realized that the trailer did exactly what it was supposed to do - namely, create a sense of intrigue. You made me want more - Oustanding job!

On subsequent passes, there are a couple of lines that feel a little sophmoric or remedial to me. So, I'm starting out predisposed with the idea that the script may hold back a fresh / interesting theme, but, all hope is certainly not lost. The lighting is working very well to create the mood I think your after and complements the music well.

The trailer makes me want to see the film - mission complete.

first of all what does catantonic mean? Is he like in a coma? I think coffe mentioned something about him looking too clean for this condition. To me he doesn't look like its his last days of living life. It looks more like he just woke up from some sort of hangover. However, the overall look, lighting, compostion, looks nice.

cat·a·to·ni·a (kt-tn-)
n.

An abnormal condition variously characterized by stupor, stereotypy, mania, and either rigidity or extreme flexibility of the limbs. It is most often associated with schizophrenia.

Jeff, visually this looks great. In that respect I wouldn't change anything, but the point of the trailer is supposed to give a summary that entices the audience to want more. This is missing the enticemnet part. Of course i am a more action film kinda guy so i could be wrong.

That being said it looks great, good shots good camera work.

I thought the trailer was very smooth, you're a real fan of the tracking/panning shots aren't you? :P

As most people have said, the point of a trailer is to cause intrigue and curiosity, and it did just that! I want to know/see more! Very well done.

Very professional!

Very professional!

Good job! The only thing I have to say is that the trailer, and almost everyone nowadays, are always too "hollywood" ( same way of editing, scores etc. ). I do know that Market does it, but anyway we should always try to change status quo. Well, I have to say that I would also make hollywood trailers too if I had to! Good job again!

I liked the trailer, it was very well done. I liked your website too. The music was great. My only real objection is that your actor that is dying of cancer looks like he's waiting for the alarm to go off so he can hit the tennis court or the country club. Where are the IV's, the resporators, the monitors? I've got a friend who is really dying and trust me she looks (and is) wasted, haggard and VERY uncomfortable. Otherwise, the trailer is beautiful....which is of course the problem.

Gentlemen; all new actors think they have to be pretty to get the next job! As directors we have to mold the actor into the character prior to shooting.

As far as the lighting, camera and editing, Nice very Nice.

Thanks so much for the comments...Great thoughts. Every time we shoot the attempt to ugly this guy up is validly fought. He's about 7 feet tall with hair that no matter how much gel one puts in it, never stays flat. That said, we've only shot for two days. We have also made the rational that he has astrocytoma (aggressive brain cancer). In either case, as the film shoots more, the focus really should be on a shy introverted nurse coming out of herself...(maybe he has an ugly foot that she can talk to....;-)

Thanks though...keep it coming...
