F5: Need F5 rental on 7/27 in Los Angeles

Hi,

I'm having trouble finding an F5 in LA for the 27th. I haven't taken out ALL the stops with the phone calls, but my usual suspects are without. Turns out there's 55s everywhere, but not many 5's.

I had two possibilities lined up, but they have both fallen through...one for sure, one maybe.

I may have been able to help but since you didn't bother returning my PM some time ago regarding some F55 test/info. I was looking for, I don't feel as enthused about the idea.
 
Dude, I would have returned your PM eventually, but only 6 days later, you sent me a rude message taking me to task for not getting back to you fast enough. "Real nice work", is I believe what you said. I had about 3 people at the time wanting to get time in with my 55, all friends, not strangers, and I didn't know what to tell you at quite that moment.

At that point, it was so damn weird and rude, getting jiggy with me because I didn't get back to you on YOUR timeline to set up a test with you, being a complete stranger, I simply said WTF and hit delete.

Now you bring it up again and it's double weird. Especially since you're "oh, I would have helped you, but because of this perceived slight, I'm not, but I'm going to bring it up again". Good lord.

Seriously, what's wrong with some people? One expects to read posts by professionals on this forum and not some teenage moronic rant having a go at someone just for not replying a PM with enough celerity. Mr. Nate Weaver has done a lot for the community and has posted a considerable amount of invaluable information out of pure kindness. Frankly I find the comment plain rude and childish - grow up!

Nate, I wish I could help you, unfortunately I live in the UK. Good luck and thanks for all the info you have shared with everyone so far.
 
Making it worse, like you two just did, is why I and most working film guys I know don't use forums.

If you want to say more, I'd suggest sending me something offline although I won't likely sign on here for another 6 months after today. Now I recall why I don't bother coming here.

Typical LA bulls*%t attitudes...

Just next time give somebody a little more time to get back to you before you go assuming they're all "Hollywood". The only thing Hollywood about this is sometimes we take on more work than we should, and get way too busy to be normal with response times. You made some incorrect assumptions about my character and ability to respond with solid info.
