I am the writer/director for a documentary we are producing, titled BEST WORST MOVIE. The documentary is about the underground popularity of an awful (so bad it's good) B-horror film made 17 years ago, called Troll 2. For more insight, I would encourage you to take a thorough look at www.bestworstmovie.com to understand a little bit about past screenings, and the buzz this movie and our efforts are creating.
Next Friday, July 6th (9pm) and Saturday July 7th (5pm) Troll 2 screenings/parties are being planned by Grand Illusion Cinema in Seattle. We are looking for preferrably 1 or 2 DVX-100a shooters and perhaps a producer that could be camera-side interacting with the fans/asking questions and helping us to cover the event. Probably 4-5 hours on Friday and maybe 3-4 hours on Saturday. A good shotgun mic is a must, and some sort of dimmable, on-camera light.
I am also an experienced shooter (DVX-100a) but will not be able to cover this event, as I will be making an appearance... I am the star of Troll 2, and will be appearing with a few other cast members.
Also, the individual that we decide to work with must be outgoing, and willing to elicit conversation with fans attending the event.
We have appeared at several of these screenings throughout the country (NYC, Houston, Austin, etc) and they have been a complete blast. I would like to talk with whoever we work with in detail to help them understand the gist of the project and our needs.
