Hi all,
I'm in Gastonia, NC -- just west of Charlotte.
I've done some video work for our local Crisis Pregnancy Center in the past, including a 30-minute short dramatic film called 'A Matter of Life'. The CPC is a non-profit Christian organization that provides pregnant women with counseling, resources, support, and a choice as to how they want to proceed with their pregnancy.
The CPC needs a couple of short videos produced pronto. One will be a 5-minute video to be shown at a breakfast for 140+ local pastors in eastern Gaston and western Mecklenburg county. That breakfast will be held on January 6th, 2009.
The other is a 7-10 minute video to be shown at the CPC's annual fundraising banquet, which will be on March 12th.
The videos are mainly interview/conversational type things, with some voiceover narrative. There may be some re-enactment of events, but those will likely not need sound.
I have a DVX100a and fluid head tripod. But I'm definitely no expert with the camera, and have no significant sound gear at all. So I could use a good DP and a good sound person.
We're probably looking at no more than 2 or 3 days of shooting, likely not in a row. But we may want to shoot in as little as 10 days from today.
I have always in the past donated my time, talents, etc. for this organization. However, I may be able to get them to provide some pay for you. The most important thing is that we get really excellent images and sound.
The shoot would be at the CPC's location here in Gastonia -- most likely in the daytime.
If you'd be interested, PM me ASAP.
Thanks!
