Entering focus assist at 5x and 10x will makethe image on the external monitor esized to 4:3 with 2 black nad on the sides o the screen
In focus assist 4x the imagein he disaply is 1:9 as normal
Now i have taken the camera to assistance and they say that is somehting that Panasonic has choosn to do like that, so it is not a problem
To me i is not satisfactory, i tehink it sedto behave differet at the beginning
CAN SOME OF YOU TEST HIS CAMERA IN THIS CASE?

They chose to maximize the area of the LCD monitor for the 5x and 10x mag., and the LCD is in 4:3 format - which, when seen on a 16:9 monitor will be full height, with blank "wings". Since 4x mag preserves the whole frame with a central magnified window, it displays normally on the remote monitor, but with top and bottom blanks on the 4:3 LCD.

Since you see only a tiny part of the frame at 5-10x, I can't see this as a great limitation. You see exactly the same area at 5-10x on the camera's LCD screen, but it fills it. But in the GH3's 16:9 EVF the 5-10x views are cropped top and bottom compared to the LCD and remote monitor views.

There is no difference in the camera LCD or EVF mag. views with HDMI output.
