Need Battery for Remote Location

Hi, I'm prepping a shoot in the countryside where there's no electricity. We'll need to power a 600wt bulb and a medium sized house fan. I'm thinking to use a 12v car battery with an inverter, but having never done this before, I'm wondering if there is a better kind of battery to use. Can anyone make any recommendations, or tell me where I can post directly to electricians or grip people? Thanks!

I only need intermittent power for 3-4 hours, and only enough juice for these two small items. It's a bit of a walk to the actual location, so I'd rather not deal with a dragging a generator out there along with all the other gear I'm going to need. But thanks for the idea!

A portable 1K or 2K Honda or Yamaha generator is going to be more convenient than dragging out the car batteries and inverted needed to power these items for the time given.

But your first step is knowing your total power draw. Know how many watts your fan pulls?

Yes, I'm thinking more about a generator now. I didn't realize I could get such a small one. I don't know about how many watts the fan pulls. Maybe it says on the fan somewhere... ? I will look. Thanks for the tip!
