Need aerial stock footage. Anybody?

Does anybody have some aerial stock clips they'd be willing to let my church group use in our Christmas short film, "Losing Christmas"?

This is the first time our church has tried making a film, and it's going really well. But the film opens with a Narrator speaking for about 60 seconds before we transition to a shot of a sad little girl sitting on a park bench.

It would be great if we had several aerial clips over a small town and countryside, preferably with fall colors -- bare trees would be even better, since the scene is set on Christmas Eve day, but no snow, since the connecting scene won't have snow on the ground. The idea is we're seeing the small town that this little girl lives in, while the Narrator basically sets up the story for us.

Either 1080p or 720p would work for us. We have no budget, but we'd gladly give screen credit (which I know isn't worth much) and lots of prayers and gratitude!

Thanks folks!

Might help if you can post a couple of stills or video of the town used (or google maps link) so people have some idea of the place the rest of the film is set. Areial footage of a town in New Mexico is not going to look the same as one in New England.

It's pretty generic. Not in the desert, but most anything else would likely work. Just your typical small town or suburb. Here are some clips from Pond5 that are generally what I had in mind, but with fall colors or a wintery (without snow) look...

That's not generic.... it depends where you live. Which was my point.

hopefully now you will get appropriate clips rather than flooded with stuff from New Mexico, or Alaska :-)

The story is SET in a generic unidentified small town, not in my specific town. Most any small town in the U.S. with TREES will probably work.

Funny you say this. I was going to offer up some footage.....but after thinking about it,
I figured that the Mendenhall Glacier in the background might ruin it for him.

Yeah, something with a recognizable landmark like that probably wouldn't fit in the 'generic' category. Bet it's gorgeous footage, though!

Beautiful stuff! I love all the landscapes and fall foliage. It must be amazing to see that in person! The town shot in the last clip is nice. I wish there were more clips of towns and communities to choose from.

I actually talked to a local aerial videographer just tonight who just happens to be shooting this weekend literally in my neighborhood, almost literally in my back yard and only a mile from our church. I've hired him to shoot what we need. I've told him the kind of clips I'm looking for, and he's going to do his best to get them done over the weekend, including -- I hope -- one that flies in on our church. I'm hopeful that he's going to get exactly what we need. I've seen his other stuff, and he's very good. Fingers crossed!

If for any reason that doesn't pan out, I'll definitely be in touch with you, greytail. Thanks so much! What a beautiful place you live in!

The local guy came out today with a DJI Phantom 3 Professional kit. He did all the shots I asked for and it looked pretty awesome to me. Couldn't ask for a nicer, more helpful guy!

Glad it worked out well. Much better to have shots of the actual town that way everything matches for continuity. Especially in this case where there will be a large local audience who do know (and live in) the "generic" town.
