GH3 Need Advice on GH3

Hi,
I need some advice on how to set the GH3 to be an unmanned camera. Will will be doing a 4 camera shoot and one gh3 needs to be unmanned, static shot. It is a concert venue, where the lights will be changing between numbers. We typically have always run a video camera on spotlite mode with auto iris. Running it full auto seemed to blow out the picture. We have now gone all dslr and gotten rid of the video cameras. Is there a setting like that on the gh3...Basically auto (keeping shutter at 1/25) but stopped down a little? With the stage lights, it is plenty bright enough for the 14-140 lens that will be on it. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

You can set the Exposure Mode for video recording to Shutter Priority in the menu. You have a choice of P,A,S or M. Choose S for Shutter priority, then set your shutter to 1/25th. Lower the contrast on whatever Picture Profile you choose to -5 so that the contrasty stage lighting can retain some detail in the shadows. I think you can use Exposure Compensation when in this mode, too. If there's any way to set your exposure before the show starts, you can adjust Exposure Compensation so that skin tones don't blow out at nominal exposure, then the whole show should look fine.

Maybe you can help me?

I have custom settings for c1, c2, and c3. However, I'm trying to set the exposure mode to something other than P in the menu. Unfortunately, it's greyed out and I can't change it! Manual exposure mode works just fine in creative movie mode, but I can't figure out what I'm missing in setting my my custom menu settings.

Thanks!

If you saved your C1 thru C3 settings when the camera was in Still mode, those will be greyed out. You need to set your camera to Creative Movie Mode, then save your settings to C1 thru C3. You should then be able to change the Exposure settings in the movie menu.
