I've been reading a lot in these forums lately and there's so much information to digest regarding the hack. I've been using LPowell's High Reliability Patch and it works as expected. I'll be shooting a short film in a couple of days and instead of wasting more time testing other settings and spending hours browsing the forum I thought I'll ask you guys if the LPowell settings I'm using atm are my best bet when using a Sandisk 16GB class 10 card in PAL land? Reliability is important to me, but it's not like it would kill my project if there happens to be a card writing error once. I'd like to be able to watch the takes in-camera, but alternatively you may suggest a setting that doesn't allow that if the results are really worth it and more or less reliable otherwise. I'll have a Macbook Pro on set (which is the same laptop I will edit on) and can quickly watch the takes there if necessary. The battery won't last forever though. I hope I provided enough information in order to help me out on this...
BTW: Is there a reason why I should consider shooting in NTSC/24p instead of PAL/25p? My main goal with this short is to hit some festivals, which means burning the end product to DVD and Blue-ray. I would also like to upload it to Vimeo and Youtube once screened.
Thanks in advance.
