Need a very good Shotgun

Re: Need a very good Shotgun

Oleg, I am a student of life for life. And we lost our plantation when those damn Yankees came into town. They still haven't left yet. Yall know what I mean ;D. Hey, thanks for the links they were very informative. I'm making an indie movie and I don't like to cut corners on quality. It's a 5 year project and I'm funding it my self. I like any type of draft beer - no preservatives, you know. Oh, and what do all those numbers mean? It looks like a tele. no.?
Have a nice day Friend.

what numbers?

Re: Need a very good Shotgun

I have a CS-1 and am very pleased with it. The CS3e is basically the same except with more directionality and longer length. Sanken makes some good stuff...

Re: Need a very good Shotgun

Oleg, These numbers showed up on your last post - where you mentioned you are a simple person.

Re: Need a very good Shotgun

Hi, Dan_Lahav
I'm looking into the CS-1 also. On the Sanken web site they give a lot of reasons to go with CS3e. But off course it is twice the price of the CS-1. In what applications have you used the Cs-1.

Who can shot under par, on a regulation length course, with only his putter and a sand wedge.  [/quote]

It's amazing what those guys can do, seriously.

On another note, if this friend of yours can do that without getting the freaking clubs inside the frame, he is hired as my boom operator!

Now, for something that actually makes sense...

Re: Need a very good Shotgun

I've used it mostly for foley work and dialogue. It's great for tight areas since it's so small and light (your soundman will thank you).  Of course sanken is going to recomend their more expensive mic, it's a business ;D! Not to say that the CS3e isnt a "better" mic, because in some ways it probably is, but I've actually heard some people that prefer the CS1 over the CS3e as far as sound quality (like Bryan Beasely over at DvInfo- a mic guru)... but that's debatable. The mic can also be easily mounted on-cam with a K-teK mount. Go here for a plethora of info about the CS-1:

Re: Need a very good Shotgun

My golfing buddy is the most talented person I have known.
He is an excellent fly fisherman as well. He could do wonders with a boom. That is, unless there is a woman around, and in that case he is useless. ::)

Re: Need a very good Shotgun

No probs. If you ever consider buying one, get it from mediasupplystore.com. I think they carry the CS1 for around 650
