Need a Telephoto Adapter for my DVX100A

To All Who May Read This:

Does anyone know of a good place where I can buy a decent used Century Optics 1.6x Telephoto converter? I've got a shoot coming up that I could really use it on. Any advice?
 
I just checked ebay, all they have are the 2.0x telephoto lenses that are a little cheaper. I need the Century Optics 1.6x, because it will interface with my Chrosziel Mattebox setup. Plus Century's quality is a whole lot better.
 
How much were they asking for the 2.0 converter and what brand if you don't mind my asking? Just curious. Disjecta uses the 1.6x Century Optics lens and I definitely prefer to follow in his footsteps. Judging by the images he gets, he knows what he is doing.

My personal take though...when dealing with a lens...so much can go wrong. They are definitely very delicate pieces of equipment. I would have to see an incredible deal for me to buy used anyway but it's definitely an avenue worth investigating.
 
Do not, I repeat, do not buy the 2.0 lenses on eBay (or anywhere else, for that matter)...they are total garbage. The only teleconverter to use with the DVX is the one from Century Optics (1.6x). You simply have no other options unless you go for a 35mm attachment setup like the G35 or micro35, etc.
 
Cannes1979- i just noticed you were from b-ham, al and custom supply downtown sells this brand by century optics....not sure if they have the particular model in stock or not. but worth a visit to see how it really works. i'm looking at buying some for my DVX100A's and would love to know how yours works if you get one. i have to find something to extend the zoom range.
