need a new mac pro.? 2.66 4 core or ?

i just got my panasonic ag 150, now i have to get a used mac pro...is anyoe editing the sdhc cards on a mac pro 4 core...should i stay away from a single 4 core and just stay with the dual processors?...any help would be great i am looking every day on craigslist and ebay and there are alot of mac pros for sale....and by the way check out this thread it talks about an indepenent study done on the 8 core new mac pros.....

FCP transcodes AVCHD footage from the 150 to pro res or AIC.

Any solid dual core or quad core or eight core Intel MacPro will work fine.
