Need a Los Angeles service shop

Newbie here, I have a AF-100, and after a year of usage I've discovered a tiny speck in the footage. I suspect and hope its only dust on the sensor. I live in Los Angeles, does anyone have a good recommendation for an "inexpensive" shop in L.A. to clean it? Or, do I dare -- is this something I can do myself? Thanks in advance.

Most likely the spot(s) are dust. I've had ones so small I could hardly see them with with the naked eye.

I used to clean my Canon dSLRs but now have Samy's Hollywood do it. Runs about $50. Panasonic Broadcast could also handle it, but I don't know what they charge, or the turnaround.

The first course of action should be brushing the sensor with something like the Arctic Butterfly. Very often this is all that's need, but if not work consider a wet clean with swabs.

dSLRs are harder to clean then the AF100 & you might give it a shot.

Jan's recommendation is probably the best course.

We've had our AF100s serviced at that Panasonic center, once for a blown HDMI port, the other time for a busted LCD, & always got them back in 2-3 days.
