need a link for a good Mic

Hey Gang- I know this has probably been asked more than I care to imagine, but can some one post a link or a name of a good quality shotgun mic for under say 300 bucks?
 
I have heard good reviews on the Rode NTG-2 for about $250 but the one I have, the Audio Technica AT897 is so amazing. I got it for $275. I think the Rode NTG-1 is even cheaper but it needs phantom power which the DVX does offer but the NTG-2 has battery slots so you don't need phantom.
 
I have that mic too.
I often use a thousand dollar AKG as a boom mic - but after doing the post....for voices I like the Audio Technica AT897 better.
