Need a 128MB video card for FCS2 on my G5...

I just invested in FCS 2...but it's saying I can't use Color properly because my video card only has 64MB of VRAM. Are there any good video cards you can suggest for an older computer? (It's a dual 1.8ghz from late 2004).

I'm in Europe btw.

I got an nVidia Geforce 6800 ultra off ebay for my dual 2.5 G5 and it made Color totally usable- plays realtime (mostly) with several corrections/ secondaries on SD material. Plays back about 5fps or so with HD prores footage with a few corrections/ fx, but still very usable. With the original video card, color was REAL slow, pretty much unusable.
It's hard to find these cards in the REAL mac version though. (not the PC flashed to mac ver)

I do get errors that I've never seen before in FCP, where it says, "cannot render this effect with the present video card at the current settings" (Changing sequence from 10-bit to 8 makes it work sometimes, or changing the codec, but it's not an ideal workaround).

Thanks Tim, I'll look at those.

Are these any good btw? ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB

I think you'll want something with 256 MB or even 512 MB of VRAM. My stock video card had 128 MB and it was very sluggish. Be aware that if you get a card that has fan, it will add significant noise to your computer. Mine is so loud now, but worth the video performance boost.
