Stabilize Your Visual Dream with the Nebula 4200 Gimbal Gyroscopic Stabilizer

As technology becomes more advanced, filmmakers, DSLR and mirrorless camera users are reaching levels of artistry never before obtained. A major challenge to generating an artistic vision is finding necessary, reliable and affordable equipment. Matching all three of these stipulations, Filmpower Inc. provides several accessories that are worth considering. Based out of San Francisco (the City of Science and Technology), Filmpower Inc. produced the Nebula 5000, the first full metal gyroscope stabilizer in the world.

So why are gyroscopic stabilizers so important? Their necessity is understood by any camera user trying to take a mobile shot. A shaking camera frame while filming/taking a picture never results in a pleasing product. Even standing still camera users may introduce small vibrations into their shot. While a tripod helps stabilize a camera, it can only do so in a fixed location. Add to this the time needed to set up angles manually and mobile shots quickly become frustrating. The solution? Gyroscopic technology.

Gyroscopic technologies allow for stabilization while moving and have virtually eliminated bumps and jolts while filming. Filmpower Inc. features a line of full metal gyroscope stabilizers and have continued to provide reliable stabilizing equipment for filmmakers and camera enthusiasts since 2013.

As interest in gyroscopic stabilizers began to pique, Filmpower Inc. continued to generate multiple models including the Nebula 6000 with specifications for industrial use, the economical Nebula 5200, and the popular Nebula 4000. This last model demonstrated the versatility and control filmmakers and photographers alike can achieve and since then has led to an increasing demand for gyroscopic stabilizers worldwide. With these novel model designs Filmpower Inc. has innovated the gyroscopic stabilizer industry. Continuing in this tradition Filmpower Inc. is ready to revolutionize the industry again with their newest breakthrough model, the Nebula 4200 Gimbal.

The Nebula 4200 Gimbal features stabilization of five axes to control for the vertical, horizontal, pitch, yaw and roll axes while shooting. Offering single or double handle based operation , this gyroscope allows the user total control of their vision while ensuring the stability of the shot. While built to last , the handles are also easily repaired should they suffer any damage. What else makes the Nebula 4200 so remarkable? Aside from the 5 axes controls, the Nebula 4200 Gimbal contains a 32-bit board dual sensor controller. In addition to increased operation speeds and precision control, this new 32-bit board allows users to carry up to 1.6kg (3.5 lbs), permitting usage of a broad range of DSLRs and mirrorless cameras (e.g. Canon 5DSR/7D2/70D/100D/750D and more). Tool-less balance adjustment also permits the user full versatility of the gyroscopes control without the cumbersome equipment. Equipped with Bluetooth wireless control for setup and manipulation, the Nebula 4200 Gimbal further eliminates any physical bumps during use. A wireless joystick can also be purchased as a compatible accessory.

Whether you are new or experienced, the revolutionary Nebula 4200 Gimbal offers , an advanced form of control that is affordable for amateurs and pros alike. For the filmmaker or photographer wanting to achieve this added level of stability, Filmpower Inc. offers their products worldwide. Sales agents are based out of the USA, UK, France, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, Russia, UAE, Turkey, Israel, South Africa, Indonesia, India and more.

Have a good news to tell everyone. Nebula 4200 has three versions. Nebula 4200 5-axis, Nebula 4200 Pro and Nebula 4200 Lite. Nebula4200 preorders begin in Sept. 28, and they will be shipped out after four weeks. Three different versions will be available at $799, $899, $999. There are different accessories for each version. Nebula 4200 Lite contain single handle stabilizer /battery / battery charger /2 camera mounting plates /hardcase. Nebula 4200 5-axis contain double handle 5axis stabilizer /single handle /battery / battery charger /2 camera mounting plates /hardcase.

What is the weight and maximum load of each model?

I think it is the same for each one.

From one of the images, in really small pixelated text, it looks like weight limit is 3.2lb. So I'm thinking the production photos are a little BS b/c it makes it look like it can hold a 5DIII w/ a 24-105mm, which would put the weight over 3.2lbs. And if it is anything like the Nebula 4000 (or other gimbals), then you're probably have a lot of difficulty balancing something that large that is anywhere near the weight limit.

I really hope they type out all these specs & can confirm or deny what cameras / lenses this can hold.

I think everybody's learned their lesson about pre-orders from the disastrous Moza lite launch...will wait to see how an actual production model reviews.

iriszhang, I think you should include the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera in your list of cameras if it's compatible. Seeing such a long list and the lack of inclusion of that one camera may cause some concern for potential customers. For the sake of good marketing you should include it if it's compatible.

Yes, I know. It can support most of the machine, but we can't list every kind of machine. We will try to add the specific models.
The Nebula4200 series can handle a load of 1.6kg, supporting all types of DSLR cameras.

Regarding weight limit, I could think of at least three possibilities:
1. At its 3.5 pound limit, you’ll start to see problems in performance.
2. At its 3.5 pound limit, the unit struggles a little bit but nevertheless will provide satisfactory performance.
3. Our limit is conservative. The unit functions flawlessly at 3.5 pounds, and actually performs pretty well somewhat over that.

Which one best represents your situation? Thanks for your help.

Point 3 is right. Limit weight is limited models and lenses, however, has nothing to do with performance.

Sponsored by the IBM 360 fashion&tech show held in San Francisco City View today. Filmpower was invited as one of the six outstanding product companys. Filmpower brought Nebula4200 and ROXOR, which received worldwide attention and get high praise.

Will anybody be allowed to post any sample footage from the event? I'm really looking forward to hearing some reviews on this.

As a result of the Nebula4200 structure is more complex, and we are responsible for the customers, so we took a long time to test the new gimbal.
Product has now been in the shipment according to the pre-orders. The video will be more and more about Nebula4200.
Nebula4200 Lite was presented in Fotomassan2015(Stockholm, Sweden). The links below is Nebula4200 Lite shooting video.

The advantage of five-axis stabilizer

Handheld 3-axis stabilizer is a revolutionary product to the film industry. It is so light-weighted and user-friendly and creates more possibilities for photographers during film making and at mean time provides smooth videos. Among those 3-axis stabilizers on the market, the Film Power Nebula series is the most advanced, well-built products but will not make any consumer bankrupt.

However, the 3-axis designs that control tilt, roll and pan cannot address the very crucial part: the vertical axis. We can notice bounces in videos created by 3-axis stabilizers caused by photographers’ steps. To solve this problem, the cutting-edge Nebula 4200 5-axis stabilizer has arrived.

The two spring arms of 4200 can absorb any vibrations and bounces under payload. They are just like the vehicle suspension system which isolates road noise, bumps, and vibrations.

Besides vertical axis, by using different spring tension, the two spring arms are also able to filter part of the vibrations in horizontal axis.

b.jpg

On the construction side, thanks to the high quality material, the highly integrated Nebula 4200 is light weighted but extremely rigid and tough. Even with 2 spring arms which have 20 ball bearings, the Nebula 4200 only weighs less than 2kg (4.4lb), much lighter than most of the 3-axis stabilizers.

I know this promotional flyers of the nebula but have not seen any convincing footage yet. Before I spend my money - and I am in the market for a gimbal - I would like to see some reviews of this new concept.
