Sorry if this has been asked and answered but the search system crapped out on me and I kept getting errors....
I've been playing with Neat Video on footage taken using the HMC151 in a very dark (Disco) environment using 12bd gain and a little gamma change in FCP (which of course makes the noise worse) to make it a little more viewable. I've been *really* impressed by the results - although not so impressed by the time taken to render - even on an 8 core Mac using the multi-core aware settings. This would be a serious over night render for more than just a few minutes of footage!
Anyway.... has any one taken the time to produce Neat Video (Noise Reduction) profiles for their HMC 15x? Did you just do it for 0db, 6db and 12db gain settings or was it more involved than that?
If I am shooting with a 3 camera setup (3 identical HMCs) do I need profiles for each individual device or will one profile at each of the gain settings normally do the job OK for all three sources? I seem to recall still cameras being different enough that they benefited from their own profiles.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
