Neat Video Nexus 7 as Monitor/Control

A customer sent me a video of how he set up his cubed rig. It was a neat set-up with a bulldog style low in the chassis set-up. But what really caught me eye was the external monitor solution. He used a Nexus 7 tablet with an app to control some of the camera functions. Looks like a sweet option. And from what little searching I have done the tablet is pretty low cost with decent resolution.

whats equally as interesting is that he is getting video feed on BOTH the nexus and the cam! As you may or may not know, once you plug into the mini cable on the 7d video feed is cut off from the camera monitor and only available on the external monitor.

I think it has something to do with the software app. From what I understand it mimics some of the functions from the EOS utility software? Seems to be catching on as I have seen a few more video pop up covering it. We always have people calling us looking for low cost external monitor solutions. This seemed to be a possible option, especially if the customer already has the tablet.

Is there a way to stream the video from Nexus to a WiFi LAN so an iPad will be able to view the camera output? Why this is not getting as much interest as the last time when people is talking about making the iPad as their monitor. I believe the Nexus screen resolution is as good as the iPad 2!
