Neat Video for Final Cut (Mac) Video Noise Reduction App

Anybody gonna post some Neat-D90 footage?

I'd be interested in seeing some too. It looks like the $99 Pro version is the way to go, since the free and home versions' dimensions are not big enough?

I know it was also mentioned earlier that since the d90 uses a variable bit rate that neat video might not be consistent? Just tryin to get some kind of verdict if it worth the purchase...

nah sorry no more vids. There wasn't any there to begin with. I had a 50mm 1.4 and it was more than enough light hitting to where there wasn't any noise. What you're seeing is the mjpeg compression that neat video cleans up rather well, but sometimes, just not enough. This camera hates blacks.

that doesn't make sense. Variable bitrate should keep the noise much more consistent than other schemes. The quantization table is the same so the dct coeffs for the same kind of noise should too. Constant bitrate means there's more noise in high complexity frames, which is of course much less consistent.

I'm so considering buying this thing. I'm very impressed with the demo. Any other opinions on this software from users? It's a crazy long render time (6 minutes for like 5 secs). Any other software have as good as results?
