ND and Water White filters

blahblah

Shane Hurlbut has attested to a (green) color cast in DSLR video shot with heavy ND filtration. The explanation is infrared pollution, and his solution is Tiffen's water white (WW) glass. The 5D Mark II is supposed to have excellent IR resistance. We all know how sensitive the 5D is to daylight, so I'm wondering if the Cinema5D community has had an color cast issues with heavy ND filtration. What has been your solution? I foresee having to cut out up to 7 stops of light. The back of my Tiffen Digital HT Haze 86 filter box indicates that the filter is made out of water white glass. Is this enough? Is it more or less potent than the Tiffen Digital Ultra Clear filters? I realize that there are 4x4 filters which combine ND and WW glass as well as standalone WW. At the moment, I'm seeking solutions that do not involve a matte box.

Thanks!
