NBA Playoffs- Who Ya Got?

Looks like the Heat couldn't stand the heat.

Seriously, what's up with the HVAC crew in that arena?

Just finished a six hour drive, missed the game. Just as well, evidently.
They hopefully will be hot the next game, definitely when they're back for home cookin'.

Now that's Heat ball- a gritty 2 point win on the road.

I guess LeBron's 35 points and 10 rebounds, um... "cramped" the Spurs' style

Just imagine how good you'll feel if they lose with Melo.

Of course if they manage to go down that route they'll have completely missed the lessons of these finals.

Some of the new Lakers players show promise. That said, Kobe's glory days have faded. LA is a big market with big money. Something tells me they'll make some good moves.

I knew the Spurs were good....I picked them to beat Miami
in the Finals at the start of the year. But even I didn't see them
being good enough to lay the wood on Miami like they are doing!
Talk about Spurs basketball...wow!
Maybe just a little extra motivated to play the Heat again
after last year is my guess....

Yeah, it doesn't look good (nor does Chalmers, dude), but I support the Heat win or lose (as I did in the many, many lean years).

The Heat getting blown out is making me all giddy over here.

Why the hate for the Heat? Or is it for LeBron? Just curious... I don't think I actually hate any teams (Knicks included).
And the Spurs, ironically, are probably my second favorite team, and playing near-perfect basketball. Ball movement like rarely seen.

I know, Chalmers has pulled a big disappearing act. Not sure if it's lack of touches (which seems to be
Bosh's problem) or what. One thing I can tell you Chalmers doesn't lack confidence. He always
thinks his next shot is going in. Bosh, who I really like, has shot a high percentage but not got many shots up.

But I think it comes down to this. I just read a story
that the Spurs are on average running .9 miles more per game than their Heat counterparts and making
160 passes a game more than the Heat. Player and ball movement makes things hard on a defense,
even a defense like Miami which can be a terrific defense when they are dialed in. And I dont
agree with the 'stock' answer that Miami is selfish and SA plays team ball. A selfish player
doesn't give up being 'the man' and go to third fiddle like. Bosh did. A selfish player
doesnt pass the ball off to a teammate for the game winning shot as Lebron has repeatedly
done (and been criticized for!). I think sometimes, years of experience playing together
(as Parker, Ginobili, and Duncan have) means something. In other words, sometimes
the 'savvy veterans' beat the 'athletic youngsters', because their institutional
and system knowledge more than makes up for their relative lack of athleticism.

Yeah, Chalmers has low touches/low %-age.
Bosh has low touches, fairly high &-age.

The distance stat is a first for me, but the ball movement (or lack thereof) is killing the Heat.
It's good that you point out the individual sacrifices (not only status but $) that Heat players have made, that others are quick to forget or I guess intentionally ignore.
I guess people have their made made up ahead of time, regardless of what actually happens- that would be like buying a camera, but ignoring its weaknesses.

Well, here goes perhaps my last written cheer of the year... GO HEAT!!! :)

:furious3: :badputer:

Congrats, Spurs- well played!

As Bosh said (and LeBron agreed), they were the best team he ever played against.

Though the Heat played horribly, 4 straight Finals and 2 consecutive championships is nothing to be ashamed of at all.

Not really sure what an Anti-James is, Terry?

See you all here next year, heh-heh! :)
