Nature with the 100-300mm zoom at 300mm

I grew up there!

Used to march in the "Monarch Butterfly Parade" every year as a child down Pine street.

Memories :)

Within the first few seconds the audio reminded me of Baraka :)

Love Baraka (amazing work, need to get the Blu-Ray version). Kind of the gold standard for nature movies with hard to believe images (technically and content) and great music. Never thought of it selecting the music.

I think the shallow focus works well for forcing our eyes (as it is intended) upon the subject in this sort of nature genre.

More shallow DOF than smaller sensors but also not the ultra shallow DOF from FF sensors.

...I saw it recently in 720p, eyes about 2-3ft from a 46" display. It was like seeing it for the first time. There was so much detail I had never seen before.

I first saw it in 720p and later at 40" and 1080p. Hard to believe. They scanned 65mm film at 4K.
