Two minute mini nature film, shot around Lake Montclair behind where I live. The stone in focus is a tribute to aphex twins stone in focus track.

Tech Notes: Got a 75-205mm f3.8 vivitar fd mount lens from the pawn shop today for $40 bux, ( I was gunning for 20 but the guy wouldn't budge) Pretty sweet zoom on this considering the gh1 crop factor. Any blur in the glass at this crop factor is a boon for the video codec. Of course I am using the firmware hack. Shot in 1080p24 > DNxHD 120mbit > Kdenlive > 10mbit x264 2pass. Audio is just cam mic.

190meg, 1080p24 file for high def lovin folks: http://media.rawdod.com/files/Documentaries/naturefilm24.mp4

I am sorry but I will disagree on here :)

Not only it is possible to see the flaws of the glass, as well, the video codec has been showing to be fair enough now to deal with detail, better than your clip shows. Vimeo transcoding included. Yet, the sharper the glass is, the outcome changes abruptly. 50% of any picture is the glass in front of the camera. It can be inexpensive but not that 'cheap', if you get me ;-)

The GH1 codec will mud up 'less exposed' solid areas, but not if its a blurry gradient. Thats all I meant here.

I'm not seeing any mud in the original file.
