Hey Guys,

Here are a few grabs of sky footage that I will be using for a short on state parks in my area. All clips are raw out of the dvx ( couple have bumped up chroma level)

Let me know what you think

Thanks

since i posted this in another forum and didn't get any reactions, maybe I can get some feedback here

Hi there,

It's pretty good. Not have a lot to say about it though, there s "normal but good" if i can say that.

Keep it up

Hey cecil,

Next time you go out and point the camera in the direction of the sun try adjusting your shutter speed. Another thing to try is closing your aperture (raising your f-stops) to let less light in. If you still have too much light use your neutral density filter. The fist two clips are too blown out for my liking, but keep posting and trying new things. This is 1/1000 or 1/2000 shutter at about 6 pm at a 3 on 3 basketball tourney. Do you have a filter on the shot with the horse? It looks a little blurry.

Hey Kevin.

Thanks for the response. The grab of the horse has been softened in post...trying for that look...not sure if I achieved it. I am debating over layering one clip on top of another.....what I did here is applied a blur to bottom clip and lowered the opacity of the upper clip for the softness to show through....but I have heard that using a screen key would give better results??
