I question the method in which you grabbed these screen shots. They all look like uprezzed SD. The least impressive one is the wide angle / fisheye shot of the trees. How did you capture these screen shots?

i just ALT+I in MPC (media player classic) and it automatically saves them to the desktop. i think they look fine....

EDIT: it may also just be that i uploaded them to tinypic.com maybe thats why? what do you suggest?

I wouldn't advice saving them in MS media player. Don't you have a NLE? do full res output from your NLE..

hmmm ok ill give that a go, but i dont see how that would be any better quality.

:dankk2:wow, strobe, always there for me

edit:

i tried that, and the images come out smaller and not really any better....

In order to get full res output from Vegas stills you have to set the display to either Good (Full), Best (Full), or Preview (Full). That should get you a full-res output screengrab. Otherwise, Vegas just uses whatever size it's showing you as a preview.

I don't expect too much from stills on my monitor anyway, but I think they look good. I look forward to seeing the footage.

thank fire medic, im going to edit the footage today or tomorrow, i might be going to the city (DC) today to shoot some stuff, like the cherry blossoms or something, ill throw that stuff in there if i can.

i live right outside of dc, this was shot in my backyard area, i live in springfield, PM me about meeting up, i would love to!!! in fact, this sunday, me and a few others are going downtown to shoot some stuff with my letus. PM me

thanks man, i got a few comments saying it was orange....i think they are confusing warm colors with orange...what do you think?

It's good footage, but I feel underwhelmed as far as the sharpness/details. Maybe I'm expecting too much coming from a XH-A1?

Then again..it may be due to his adapter (letus ultimate) and his glass (not sure which lenses he uses).

Thanks for sharing though!

he also probably did a lot more post work than me. i simply shot it, cut it and exported it....so maybe he sharpened it or something, but yea the xh is sharper, i also had detail level down, so who knows, when another good day rolls around, im going to slap the letus on this baby then see how that goes.
