Native Mode

I need to get my head around 720pN... why can you record more in Native mode and what makes it different from recording in standard 720p mode?

Thanks for your response.

Because native mode only records the frames you shoot. The P modes always record 60 frames per second. If you shot at a slower frame rate, you have to extract the frames from the 60 later.

So, if you shoot 24 fps, it only records 24 frames per second in N mode, but always 60 in P mode. If you shoot 30 fps, it records 30 frames per second in N mode, but 60 in P mode.

Same for the variable framerates. If you shoot 12 fps, it will record 12 frames per second (but play back at 24 or 30 or 60, depending on your mode).
