Native editing in FCP X or Premiere with AF-100 footage

I'd love to hear any experience folks have editing large amounts of native AVCHD footage from an AF100 in FCPX or Premiere. Has this been successful for anyone?

thanks.

Never had a problem in Premiere with AVCHD native footage. CS5 thru to CC2014 versions.

Large amounts of footage need a decent File and Folder naming routine.
Reason : each new card contains the same filenames starting from 0000.mts.....

I copy 'Private" contents on each card into its own Folder on the Local Hard drive named Rushes1, Rushes2, Rushes3 etc ( for example)

I then ingest them to Premiere Project Bin Folders using same name for each Folder.

I rewrap the files for cutting in FCPX using an app called Clipwrap, really quick and easy to use, worth a look

I Create Folders to hold the rushes on the Local Drive and in the Project Bin.

No renaming involved.
I never rename the mts files except for special circumstances.

Thanks for the tip - I will try clipwrap and see how that works. Any thoughts on how this method holds up when you are using large amounts of footage, and / or long timelines? I am trying to see if this is a viable solution for me, for a long-form doc with +/- 200 hrs of footage. Thanks again.
